ABOUT TAFFY
I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula and have been supporting birthing mothers since 2006. I love getting to know these growing families before the upcoming birth. When rapport and relationship has been established, I enjoy creating a calm, intimate environment on the birth-day so mothers can labor the way they she desires and fathers are more relaxed. I love assisting these dads and enabling couples to share cherished moments as they labor together. I offer doula services in Long Beach, Bellflower, Lakewood, Los Angeles and Orange County.
I have two children of my own, both boys. My first was born into the hands of my midwife. My second was born into the hands of his father's, weighing 10 lbs. 12 oz. My husband and I have been married since 2000.
Spiritually, I love Jesus and strive to experience God daily. It is also in childbirth where I feel you can experience God in an amazing way.
Before doula work, I was teaching for LBUSD. I hold my certificate in Early Childhood Education and my teaching permit from the State of California. I taught pre-k both in the private and public sector for eight years.
